So I’ve been on a bit of a budget for the last couple of weeks and it doesn’t look like that’s set to change any time soon. Undoubtedly, both living within one’s means and the art of self-sufficiency are invaluable lessons that we all should learn, but in order to achieve this there does seem to be one price in particular that we are willing to (or as the case may be, not to) pay.
Cutting back on rent to afford a good standard of living is tricky, saving on utility bills can mean being cold and smelly, and some degree of socialising / fun times is required to maintain sanity. But then there’s the expense that has a little more scope for maneuver and which we always seem to be that little bit more willing to cut back on. We completely need it and we absolutely love it, yet (even for self-confessed obsessive foodies like myself), the feeding budget is often first thing that gets slashed when planning for a hard week ahead.
So for this reason I thought that, over the next few weeks I'd share some of the secrets I know and some that I’m finding along the way, about how to make some seriously Thrify Fodder!
